December 4, 2017, 4:00pm - December 18, 2017, 7:00pm

What do you mean I don't have any lines??? There's a lot more to telling a story than the number of times an actor speaks. This series of classes will explore the many ways an actor tells their story physically. More often than not, it is what an actor does when not talking that can speak volumes.PHYSICAL STORYTELLING - $18 December 4, 2017 - 4-7pm I loved it, it was better than Cats! This class focuses on the numerous elements that are required to tell a complete story without the luxury of speaking. How can a performer establish settings, relationships, conflicts, and resolutions using only their body and expression? Students will make these discoveries and use the tools they discover to create their own short performance. PHYSICAL CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT - $18 December 11, 2017 - 4-7pm Go big or go home! Bold character choices are essential for an actor. The way a character walks can tell an audience loads about that individual well before he or she speaks. This class will look at the journey an actor may take to arrive at that silly walk, that nervous twitch, or quick way of darting around a room. Students will use the tools introduced to develop their very own character completely unique to them. PHYSICAL COMEDY - $18 December 18, 2017 - 4-7pm Make 'em laugh! You know how to tell the story, and you've got your silly walk down, now it's time to take the fall! This class will throw students headlong into trips, falls, slaps, kicks, and just about anything else that has kept "America's Funniest Home Videos" on the air for so long! But we’ll teach how to do it safely and with repeat-ability. Students will not only learn some slapstick basics, but will also explore how to motivate those tools, so that they help contribute to strong storytelling.
